Methodology
Companies of 2022 Inc. 5000 are ranked based on the percentage of revenue growth from 2018 to 2021. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue for March 31, 2018. Must be US-based, privately owned, for-profit and independent (not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies) from December 31, 2021. (Some on the list may have gone public or been acquired since then.) The minimum income required for 2018 is 100,000 dollars; the minimum for 2021 is 2 million dollars. As always, Inc. reserves the right to reject applicants for subjective reasons. The growth rates used to determine the ranking of the companies were calculated to four decimal places.
