Simcoe County is pleased to launch the redesigned Office of Economic Development (EDO) and Tourism Simcoe County (TSC) websites.
The new websites have been optimized for mobile use and improved accessibility, and include increased functionality such as the ability to host engaging videos and images to reflect EDO and TSC’s progress in attracting investment and supporting initiatives for residents and businesses.
“Simcoe County Tourism and our economic development office continue to attract a great deal of visitors and investment to Simcoe County,” said Director Basil Clarke.
“These new sites will help highlight all the benefits of our region to residents, visitors, businesses and potential investors.”
The new interactive economic development website, edo.simcoe.ca, focuses on investment and talent attraction. The site highlights the region’s excellent quality of life and robust business community, while emphasizing our connection and proximity to the Greater Toronto Area as key benefits for employers and job seekers.
The site is organized into six categories: Why Simcoe County; invest; Sectors; Resources; News and Events; and About The new website is also aligned with the Work in Simcoe County website, which features thousands of local career opportunities.
The new tourism website showcases Simcoe County as a leading four-season destination for outdoor recreation, agritourism and arts, cultural and heritage tourism. TSC has incorporated the recommendations of the One Together 2023-2026 destination management plan into the new website design. Using a new web platform, experience.simcoe.ca it is easier to navigate, highly attractive and will improve search engine optimization and visitor engagement. Site users can get information about places to go, things to do, where to stay and events.
The county is currently in the process of redesigning the main simcoe.ca Web page. The public can provide input to the new site by answering a short survey. Submit your answer before July 30.
