ReviewTree, a reputation management company focused on the veterinary industry, has launched a free service designed to help practice leaders respond to online customer reviews.

“Practices are too busy to invest the hours and hours required to respond to each client review,” said Michael Cody, CEO of ReviewTree. “It’s on their wish list, but not on their to-do list.”

About 89% of Google reviews posted on veterinary practices go unanswered, which can negatively affect a customer’s opinion of the clinic, according to the company.

ReviewTree uses ChatGPT-4 to produce personalized responses. The AI-powered platform is trained to generate the best response by analyzing the text of each review. The firm then sends the original text and the redacted response to the practice’s contact person. The veterinary professional can approve, rewrite, reject or edit the answer before it is published on Google.

ReviewTree offers the service at no cost to veterinary practices.

“We’re happy to provide a free solution … to improve the efficiency and consistency of responding to reviews,” Cody said. “This will save a lot of time for staff and improve communications with customers.”

ReviewTree recommends:

Respond quickly to online reviews to please clients and let potential clients know the practice is dedicated to providing a quick response to feedback. Respond promptly and appropriately to negative reviews to resolve issues and demonstrate a practice’s commitment to responsive care. Express gratitude for positive reviews. Expand the visibility of a practice through search engine optimization.
