Meta has started rolling out a series of updates to improve the Facebook video experience.

The social media platform has:

New editing tools have been introduced. Redesigned video Explore. Simplified your video tab. Increased opportunities for participation.

Easier navigation. Facebook aims to make its video content as discoverable as possible, so it’s started rolling out a number of changes, including design tweaks and new features:

Single window video tab: People can now access all videos from Reels to Live content to long form in the Video tab, formerly known as Facebook Watch.

Featured Recommended Reels: Facebook users will get a new horizontal reels section in the Video tab, highlighting recommended reels.

New design: Making navigation even easier, the Video tab will soon appear in the shortcut bar (although the tabs in the shortcut bar are updated based on the features people use the most).

Improved discovery and user experience. Facebook is also making it easier than ever for its users to discover videos about popular topics and trends by redesigning Explore video. The platform works by delivering content it believes the user will enjoy and find interesting through a combination of human curation and machine learning.
