Anthropic released a significant update to its conversational AI assistant, Claude 2, with 100,000 context windows.
The new Claude-2-100k model provides improved performance, longer responses and expanded access through a public beta website and API integration.

Claude’s new model can handle longer inputs and outputs, parsing documents of up to 100,000 tokens or writing content with up to a few thousand tokens.
I tested the upload function in Claude 2 with a 31 page PDF file from a to studyand quickly responded with the following.

Enhanced reasoning abilities
Claude 2 demonstrates stronger language and reasoning abilities than previous versions, scoring higher on tests such as the BAR exam and the GRE.
The company claims that this model has much better encoding capabilities, with significantly higher scores in programming evaluations.
Anthropic says that security has been a focus in the development of Claude, so it is less likely to generate harmful content. The company uses extensive techniques and tests to reduce risks.

Claude-2-100k is available in public beta for US and UK users via the new website and Poe.com with a paid subscription.

Claude’s API is also offered for enterprise, with the same price as the previous version.
