Google Search Link Danny Sullivan posted that Google’s basic tips for ranking well in Google Search haven’t changed in two decades. Google showed a screenshot of its advice from 2002 where it wrote: “Make pages for users, not search engines.”
This is the same advice that Google offers today in its creating useful content documentation

Me being me, I asked if this is a sign that something is brewing since we’re seeing insane volatility, but Google hasn’t confirmed an update yet.
Danny Sullivan replied to me, saying, “Just a good tip worth sharing. I also recently tried to locate the first time we talked about building for people, not search rankings, and it seems to have been in 2002 . I suspect even before. then, though.” He added: “Also, sometimes people think that the tips for being successful at Google change all the time, and well, this is the basic tip that hasn’t changed in over two decades.”
