Acquia has integrated its digital asset management (DAM) solution, Acquia DAM (formerly Widen DAM), with Drupal, allowing content authors to leverage Acquia DAM embed codes and version management via Media Drupal library.
Through the integration, Drupal media library content authors can access Acquia DAM directly and choose from multiple options for embedding assets, including PDFs, videos, images, and more. Content authors can apply their Drupal image styles to their embedded images from within the DAM system. Acquia DAM supports search engine optimization, responsive design, and accessibility requirements. It also simplifies versioning of certain assets, ensuring that the latest version is used in digital properties powered by embed codes.
Within Acquia DAM, administrators control who has access to which assets will be used in Drupal. They can also monitor asset usage across the entire digital experience from within the DAM system.
“Content is at the heart of any outstanding digital experience,” Dries Buytaert, Acquia’s co-founder and chief technology officer, said in a statement. “With a variety of asset types stored in different systems, many content authors struggle to maintain brand consistency while creating digital properties and building campaigns. Acquia’s new DAM integration with Drupal makes it easier and faster leverage brand-approved content, so content creators can focus on releasing content instead of hunting digital assets.”
