People hear the term “SEO” all the time, but what exactly does it entail? Small business owners can learn more about SEO, or search engine optimization, for their business websites during a webinar on Friday, July 7.
Liz Jamieson will present a Wyoming Community Navigator Program (CNP) webinar titled “Search Engine Optimization (SEO) 101” from 11 a.m. to noon. To register, go here. Registration is free.
Wyoming CNP, through the Wyoming Small Business Development Center (SBDC) network at the University of Wyoming, provides small business resources and assistance to traditionally underserved entrepreneurs throughout Wyoming.
During the latest Wyoming CNP webinar, Jamieson will discuss techniques for conducting basic keyword research that any business owner should do. It will also review strategies for using good keyword phrases that small businesses want to be found online to demonstrate to search engines that their content is relevant so that small business owners can drive more traffic to their websites. Finally, Jamieson will cover how to set up a Google My Business page and how to use the social media platforms where small businesses have a presence to improve their SEO.
There will be time dedicated to questions and answers so small business owners can apply what they’ve learned to improve their own SEO across all platforms.
Jamieson has been training, facilitating and coaching in a variety of settings for decades, including as a Washington SBDC Certified Business Advisor; business coach and program director for a small business administration women’s business center; and manager of corporate training and continuing education of a technical school.
She owned a website design and development company for many years, where she coached entrepreneurs in branding, sales and marketing. There, he worked on the online presence, collateral and copy of over 100 different small businesses. To build his business, he cold called entire chamber of commerce directories. Jamieson’s strengths are technical online marketing, loan packaging, business planning and development, and social media.
