Canada’s Candy Funhouse is offering a $100,000 salary for a head of taste testing

Does your partner or children have an older one?

Now may be the time to indulge your family’s guilty pleasure, according to Canadian candy store Candy Funhouse is hiring its first Chief Candy Officer.

Apparently the candy store doesn’t skimp on pay either.

The list of jobs it’s LinkedIn states that the new candy boss will receive $100,000 per year.

The chief candy officer will be responsible for testing more than 3,500 different types of candy monthly, while deciding whether those candies are Candy Funhouse worthy, the company says.

Candy Funhouse claims to be Canada’s largest online candy store; is based in Toronto.

Bring favorite candy like Laffy Taffy, Sour Patch Kids, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and Kit-Kats.

There are some eligibility requirements for the position.

Anyone who resides in North America over the age of five can apply for this feature, according to the company.

The position may be remote, or the candidate may work from the Toronto office or the Newark, NJ office

Candidates will undergo extensive palate training to test their sense of taste, the details of the list.

Candy Funhouse insists it is looking for a chief candy officer who is enthusiastic, has no food allergies and has golden taste buds.

The CCO won’t have to worry about cavities either.

Because? That’s because Candy Funhouse will offer extensive dental care, he says.

“All you need is a passion for sweets, pop culture and sweets,” the post reads.

Candidates can apply for the position on LinkedIn by the August 31, 2022 deadline, the company said.

Candy Funhouse CEO Jamal Hejazi said in a press release that candidates should have an “underlying enthusiasm and desire” for sweets.

The executive said the company is looking for a creative “natural leader” with an open mind and honest opinions.

“Here at Candy Funhouse we’re all about fun, and who better to define our FUNhouse strategy than someone who’s a true candy fanatic!” said the CEO.

“Whoever lands this position better be ready for the ride of their lives and have chocolate flowing through their veins,” the CEO also said in the same press release.

“I’m excited for all the candy adventures we have planned!”

The taste test boss isn’t the only position currently open. The company says it’s also looking for a “social media personality,” a “shopify developer,” and a “search engine optimization writer.”
