Looker Studio has released a major update to its system, introducing 170 new fields for reports. To access the new data, users must update their GA4 data sources.

Why we care: You can now create more detailed and detailed Looker Studio reports because they will have access to data that was not available before. Advertisers are especially excited because they will have insights into landing page, user conversion, page location, and session conversion rates by event data, helping them make more informed decisions about in ad placements and campaigns going forward.

What are the new fields: An impressive 170 new fields have been implemented, so we’ve just highlighted some personal favorites here:

How do you get the new fields? To access the new Looker Studio fields, follow these step-by-step instructions:

Click on “Data Sources” in your Looker Studio account. Select the GA4 source you want to update and select the “Update Fields” button in the lower left corner. A new window will then appear on the screen with the new 170 fields listed. Click “Apply”. All new fields should appear in existing reports. You are ready!

Some sellers may not have immediate access to the 170 new fields. The number of new fields your account has access to will depend on how many conversion events you have.
