Microsoft will only show ads from verified advertisers starting August 1

Microsoft Advertising will only show ads from verified advertisers, starting Aug. 1, the company announced.

Why we care If you have not completed the Microsoft Ads verification requirements, you must do so by August 1 to avoid interruptions in ad serving.

Chronology The Microsoft Ads advertiser identity verification program was announced in June 2022. Upcoming key dates to know:

July 1: New advertisers must be verified before Microsoft will post any ads.

July 15: Contact Microsoft Support if your account is not verified and you have not received an email from Microsoft regarding account verification.

August 1: Microsoft Advertising will only serve ads from verified advertisers.

What users will see. All ads will be shown:

Name and location of the advertiser. The company or person paying for the ad. Information about why they see an ad (eg, targeting parameters).

Here’s what it looks like:

New ad library. Microsoft Advertising too announced is launching a new ad library:

“All users will be able to see ads displayed on Bing that have impressions in the European Union. Users can search for ads in the Ad Library by advertiser name or ad words. The details of the ‘advertiser will be displayed in the Ad Library”.
