The Co.Lab class for small business owners recently ended, and her classmates chose custom embroidery by Lisa Bays of Bays in Zionsville for a special award.
Boone County Economic Development Corp. ran the eight-class program to equip small business owners with knowledge, tools and peer networks to become scalable and resilient businesses, said Melanie Reinhart, Boone EDC marketing specialist.
Participants chose topics and Boone EDC found facilitators for topics ranging from finance, social media strategy to SEO (search engine optimization).
Participants boosted their branding with local branding photographer Abbie Gowin, who created content for their websites and social media.
Bays’ peers chose her to receive Co.Lab’s $1,500 cash prize based on her enthusiasm, commitment and dedication.
You can use the money to further your small business goals while using the tools you learned during Co.Lab.
Other participating small businesses were Klooz Brewz, Truffles & Creams, Cedar Tree Kitchen and One-Up Automotive.
