Wisconsin Native returns after starting at Michigan TV network.

Waukesha, Wisconsin – Kalmbach Media is excited to announce the recent appointment of Lucas Iverson to the Digital Marketing team. The Wisconsin native will be Trains.comThe new staff editor, responsible for new web articles, search engine optimization, and ultimately the continued expansion of digital outreach to current and potential audiences.
Iverson’s passion for railroading began at a very early age, starting with Thomas the Tank Engine, which continues to grow and evolve. Iverson is a native of Wisconsin and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. His studies in Radio-TV-Film and communication paved the way for a career in television and now at Trains.com.
Iverson’s first career position was as a technical media operator for the CBS affiliate in Lansing, Michigan. WLNS-TV. One of the highlights of his time there included directing fast-paced newscasts broadcast in mid-Michigan from morning to night. Iverson regularly volunteered at the Steam Railroading Institute in Owosso, Michigan. The Institute is home to Peter Marquette no. 1225a Berkshire-type 2-8-4 steam locomotive whose sounds and likeness were featured in the 2004 animated film The Polar Express.
While at the Institute, she oversaw digital outreach to members, volunteers and the public through the organization’s revamped website and expanded social media presence.
He accepted the Trains.com job in October and is excited to start working at Kalmbach Media.
