Company Names Recipients of Synchrony Pillars 2022 Project Grants to Enhance Digital Transformation
STAMFORD, Conn., November 1, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Sincronia, (NYSE: SYF), a consumer financial services company, today announced 21 Synchrony Pillars project grant winners (#Pillars). Launched in 2016, Synchrony’s Small Business Grants Program has honored entrepreneurial retail owners and health and wellness providers who have risen above in times of change. This year, the company will help small businesses tackle digital transformation through a total of $210,000 in grant awards. Each beneficiary of the grant receives $10,000 and expert consulting services from Synchrony to extend the digital transformation of your business.

Trisha Larsen, owner of Pedego Electric Bikes Stony Brook, a small business that sells electric bikes in East Setauket, New York, recently won a $10,000 Synchrony Pillars grant for the organization’s digital transformation.
Small businesses today face multi-layered challenges, including supply chain chaos, inflation, talent wars and the continued impacts of the pandemic. This year, Synchrony’s Pillars Project is increasing its focus on digital transformation for small businesses facing these challenges.
A recent survey1 found that small businesses leading digital transformation saw eight times the revenue growth of small businesses in the early stages of their digital efforts. Project Pillars grants will help winning small businesses and healthcare providers advance their digital competitiveness through transformational projects, including:
Increasing its digital capabilities by improving website and mobile experiences, search engine optimization, digital marketing and social media content; Upgrading technology, including mobile devices, cybersecurity software, enterprise applications, and wireless connections; and Foster brand awareness and improve marketing.

The Pillars Project Grant program was open to current and potential partners of Synchrony and CareCredit, a Synchrony solution, with 30 or fewer employees. This year’s application focused on both vision and business transformation: how the business adopted digital tools and processes to adapt to changing needs. The small business winners represent a wide range of industries, including retail (e.g., automotive, bicycles, furniture, flooring, HVAC, jewelry, motorsports, and sewing) and health and wellness (e.g., audiology, chiropractic, dentistry, massage therapy and doctors).
