King James – Part of Accenture Song, is currently seeking an SEO Specialist to work across a portfolio of multiple clients and brands. The successful candidate must have a good background in the digital space and up-to-date knowledge in the field of SEO/Optimization/UX of digital marketing. It is imperative that the successful candidate keeps abreast of all industry changes and growth by constant reading and upskilling, as well as keeping all necessary qualifications/certifications up to date.
Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
Develop SEO strategies and optimize sites to drive growth for a number of well-known clients. Conduct keyword research in coordination with the client’s business objectives to optimize existing content and discover new opportunities for paid media. content development in coordination with SEO goals: general and keyword specific (content strategy for client, optimization and content upload) Assist in the development and execution of communication/content strategies through social communities in coordination with SEO objectivesResearch and implement search engine optimization audits Administer search engine programs (XML sitemaps, webmaster tools) for diagnostic reporting purposes on client projects. Perform technical site (SEO) audits and recommendations to identify, plan and implement technical SEO recommendations for websites such as: site architecture, page load speed and content optimization. Site Migrations, Conversion Optimization and Offsite SEO Redesigns Recommend changes to website architecture, content, links and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords and organic traffic. Implement link building campaigns in coordination with the client’s SEO goals. Monitor and evaluate search results and search performance across major search channels for monthly reports and recommendations. Assist in the creation of client proposals/proposals. Explain terminology and technical processes. Analysis and research of the competition. Stay abreast of industry changes within industry best practices.
Qualification / experience / ability:
Relevant tertiary qualification Proficiency in MS Office (ie Word / Excel / PowerPoint / Keynote etc.) Minimum 3 years experience as an SEO specialist. Experience in advertising agencies will be advantageous. Experience with UX best practices, strategy and research. Strong technical SEO background and a thorough understanding of your site. in the digital marketing portfolio. Understand the basics of web analytics. Google Analytics/AdWords certification. Knowledge of Google Search Console and Google Tag Manager. Knowledge of SEO tools: Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog and Bright Local. English language (both verbal and written) Strong organizational and planning skills Strong time management skills Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and move forward on multiple concurrent projects as well as share progress with your team.
