Dealer.com, a brand of Cox Automotive, is looking for one Specialist in SEO II join our team remotely! The SEO Specialist II is responsible for delivering Dealer.com’s Premium level of Search Engine Optimization services to help achieve subscriber goals. This includes analyzing website performance data (traffic, rankings, etc.), evaluating client websites, and determining actions to improve site performance. Monthly strategy collaboration with clients and internal stakeholders such as SEO writers, performance managers, campaign coordinators, and social coordinators. The SEO Specialist II is the client’s point of contact for all questions and concerns related to organic search. In addition to monthly scheduled calls to review work and strategize, the client also has direct access to the specialist via email or phone as needed.

Your role:

Communicate with clients via monthly calls to review website performance, on-site and off-site optimizations and work done, and a proactive ongoing organic strategy. Collaborate with the client and internal stakeholders on additional strategies to help the client achieve their goals and generally act as a consultant to the client’s online search presence. Act as SEO Account Manager, providing clients with technical, operational and process knowledge, direct access (call, email) to answer their concerns, advocate for service reinforcing the value of Dealer.com’s SEO programs and save possible cancellations. Serve as a key SEO liaison with the client by completing search engine related requests such as market and competitive research, web page optimization, Google My Business optimization and analytics analysis as needed. Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Editors, Performance Managers, Campaign Coordinators, Social Coordinators) on digital marketing strategies to support the client. Improve client site performance and KPIs using white hat SEO tactics. Implement a determined strategic content strategy based on site performance and distributor needs; properly optimize custom pages and content added to the site. Using Dealer.com’s analytics platform, analyze and evaluate website performance, including but not limited to organic hits, visitors, form submissions, conversion rate, bounce rate and visibility (ranking data from keywords) to determine the level of customer performance and identify areas of opportunity. It consolidates and synthesizes customer data and organic website performance, and presents information in client-facing reports that articulate the value of the Premium SEO program. Reports include key performance metrics, impact of past SEO strategies, site challenges and solutions, opportunities, content strategy, and work done with context. Use third-party tools like Copyscape, Majestic SEO, SEM Rush, Google Search Console, Google Trends, and Moz Pro to help you identify potential site opportunities. Resolve negative trends in KPIs and search engine visibility. With support, determine the cause of the trend and take corrective action. Continually increase your SEO knowledge by attending SEO team knowledge sharing sessions, office hours and other organized continuing education opportunities. Proactively identify and address algorithm and search results page implications to customers as needed. Provides advice, mentoring and training for new SEO team members. All other duties as assigned.

Face-to-face assistance (specific location):

Team members residing in the Burlington, Vermont or Atlanta, Georgia area will be required to be in office once per week (4 times per month). The day of the week that personal assistance is required may vary

Minimum requirements:

High school diploma/GED and 3 years of experience in a related field, or the right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any degree/certification level beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline and up to 1 year of experience; or 5 years of experience in a related field Understanding of how search algorithms work Strong customer service skills and relationship with client management Knowledge of SEO tactics Ability to manage competing priorities Knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Search Console and other industry tools Excellent written and verbal communication skills Self-directed, driven and enthusiastic Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and HTML

What we’re looking for (preferred):

Automotive experience, extensive knowledge of digital marketing strategy Additional certifications (Google Analytics, Adwords, Hubspot, etc.)

$19.18 – $28.80 per hour

Compensation:

Base hourly pay rate is $19.18 to $28.80/hour. The base hourly rate may vary within the intended range based on factors such as the final location of the position and the knowledge, skills and abilities of the successful candidate. The position may be eligible for additional compensation which may include commissions (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Benefits:

Employees are entitled to a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off each month and seven paid holidays during the calendar year. Employees are also entitled to additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, voting time off, jury leave, voluntary time off, military leave, parental leave, and COVID-19 vaccination leave.
