Microsoft makes Copilot available to all advertisers

Microsoft’s AI assistant Copilot is now available to all advertisers on Microsoft’s advertising platform, one month after it expanded its testing pool, the company announced today.

Why we care: Microsoft touts CopIlot as a way for advertisers to save time on routine tasks, focus on strategic decision-making and improve overall performance. We’ll be watching closely to see if these claims actually hold true for advertisers.

What’s new. Copilot offers several AI-based capabilities within the advertising platform, including:

Conversational chat in natural language to get answers and synthesize information. Recommendations for ad assets such as images and copy. AI-generated images and other on-demand assets. Integrated throughout the platform’s user interface and workflows.

What follows: An upcoming pilot will allow advertisers to use Copilot to automatically summarize the performance of specific ad campaigns via chat.
