YouTube announced a series of updates aimed at simplifying content management and tracking for creators. These updates include:
Notify creators when issues prevent tagged products from showing. Facilitate viewers’ access to subscribed content. Launching a clip library. Extending the “known issues” filter chip to Studio Mobile.
Problems with tagged products. YouTube now notifies users if their tagged products are not showing due to an error or issue. A banner will now appear in the Video Details section if there are tagged products that cannot be displayed due to:
Flag quality issues. Products under review. Products that have not been approved. Products that have been removed.
Creators will see a badge and can access additional information if a tag is not displayed due to a tag quality issue. This feature is accessible in Studio on both the desktop and mobile versions.
Subscribed content access YouTube will be conducting an experiment over the next few weeks to make it easier for viewers to find all of their subscribers’ content. From now on, content from channel subscriptions and prime-time channels will be consolidated into one location: the “Filter by Channel” section of the Subscriptions tab.
Trimmed statistics. YouTube now offers a clip library page, which allows creators to view segments of their videos that have been trimmed by viewers. In addition, creators can now manage all clips made in their videos directly in YouTube Studio on desktop, with Studio mobile functionality coming soon.
Problem filter. Finally, YouTube has released the “known issues” filter chip to Mobile Studio (previously only available on PC). Creators can use this filter to stay informed of issues that may affect their experience.
