Google will now add a new feature to make it easier for people to find results for their queries faster and more efficiently. The leading search engine will now include a “Discussions and Forums” module that will direct users to posts from sites like Reddit, Quora and/or Edmunds.
Google doesn’t yet have information on when the feature will be added worldwide, but right now it’s only available in the US, as mentioned in Engadget.
This could be the answer to some users’ dilemmas. A Redditor has brought up Google’s inability to provide results that suit their needs and that they can no longer go more than 11 pages in a search query even though Google says it has a million results for the search.
From that point on, users would now add the word “Reddit” in front of the search bar so that the results would take them directly to the forums specific to the topic they were researching. The “Discussions and Forums” feature that Google will add will mean that you don’t have to add forum keywords to your search.

Why do people turn to site forums instead of traditional Google results?
When you search Google for a specific topic, it will show you a lot of articles from various sites related to your topic search, but there are cases where the articles go to a completely different topic after showing very little information about what you really searched .
This is why people are starting to prefer forums to look for discussions about specific situations. Reddit and other forums contain first-hand experiences that provide answers and information that are straight to the point and have been tested by others.
When you’re not sure about something, the forums even have several conversations in the comments with other Redditors who will debate the topic for you. Just read on and then decide for yourself what the best course of action is.
Although, some still say they come to Reddit first for answers and end up on Google because they weren’t getting the answers they wanted. After all, it’s through Google that you can find sites that offer support for the issues you specifically need.
Is this a game changer for search engine optimization?
Websites use SEO (Search Engine Optimization) to direct users to their websites for specific information about what they are looking for. SEO is also for Google to determine whether or not the website has the information that will provide users with the best answers they could find based on your keywords, which determines the rank of your content.
Because keywords are used to optimize websites, creators can use them to manipulate how often their site appears when a user searches for a topic. This explains why some results have no connection to what you are actually looking for.
Even without the “Forums and Discussions” feature yet, someone has already found and shared a way Reddit so that your search query is automatically tagged with a Reddit tag.
