Google published a notice in the data anomalies section of Google Search Console that says “Google Search has changed the way event-rich results appear in search results.” This was dated March 4 and onwards.

Google wrote: “Google Search has changed the way event-rich results appear in search results.”
Google added how this will affect Search Console, saying that “as a result, you may see a decrease in clicks and impressions for event search appearance metrics in your performance report.”
Google added that “this does not indicate an actual drop in traffic, just the way we rank it in Search Console.”
Here’s what event-rich results looked like before October 2023:
Here’s what it looks like today:
So I really don’t understand what Google is talking about here. you
is there this
I noticed that Google now uses generative artificial intelligence to write the information on their rich event pages.
It’s also interesting that they always cite their Knowledge Graph as a source at the very end.

John Mueller of responded by saying:
I understand that it should trigger a normal search for this event; showing SGE seems random (and I’ll pass because it seems odd to do so).

Ryan Levering of Google added “There are still a number of event-rich features that use event data. Only the rich snippets have been disabled in this particular cut AFAIR.”
Discussion in the forum a X.
