Microsoft updated Bing Webmaster Tools to create IndexNow reports, now called IndexNow Insights, added new Top SEO Insights to the main page, and also cleaned up the tool’s sidebar navigation. In addition, Fabrice Canel announced as IndexNow has grown to over 2.5 billion URLs submitted.
Fabrice Canel announced this at PubCon yesterday afternoon during his conference. In fact, he said IndexNow has grown to 2.5 billion URLs submitted, up from 1.2 billion just six months ago. It also said that 17% of all URLs clicked on in Bing’s web search results come from IndexNow.
IndexNow also got an update to Bing Webmaster Tools with a new IndexNow Insights report. The old report only showed the latest URLs via IndexNow. The report now shows you action information with submitted URLs, including (according to Microsoft):
Learn about issues with crawled URLs and the status of your submitted URLs. Receive detailed reports on the number of URLs submitted, crawled and indexed. Get information about your last 1,000 submitted URLs, including their index status, first indexed date, and whether they were submitted late. Learn about the origin of your URL submissions, whether through Cloudflare, WordPress, manual submission, or other means. With the “Missing Important URLs” tab, find out which newly discovered links have been clicked but not recently visible in IndexNow, to help you better optimize your content and identify any technical issues. Get detailed information about individual errors, such as content quality, bots not allowed, not crawled, indexed, and dead links. See a list of problematic URLs and steps to fix them. Please scroll down for more details on non-indexed URLs, sample URLs, submission times, and mitigation steps to achieve indexed URLs. Export indexing trends for further analysis or reporting.

The new Top SEO Insights report sits at the top of the Bing Webmaster Tools page and shows you which Bing things are the biggest SEO issues for your website. Here’s my look for RustyBrick:
Here is a breakdown of the issues:
Here’s a sample from that site (I’m having a bug with Cloudflare’s integration with IndexNow, so I need to code IndexNow into the CMS itself, which should be done sometime today):
Microsoft he wrotethis report can help with content quality, improve index coverage, track progress and impact, or optimize structured data and backlinks.
And also Bing updated the navigation bar to remove the SEO tab and now only lists those items, plus other small navigation changes.
Discussion in the forum a X.
