Google has added a form where you can now request not to be shown in the site entity feature in Page Insights for users in the European Economic Area (EEA). Page Insights is this button you can press while you’re on a website using the Google app to get more details about that webpage, I think it was called SGE while you’re browsing.
Google has been added details here with one opt-out form – so clearly Google is handling this manually, without any meta tags or other directives, right now.
Google wrote:
Pages that have a significant portion of their page that talks about one or more place entities (for example, hotels, restaurants, bars) can have those entities within Page Insights in the Google app browser for iOS and android Site owners can choose not to show up in the site entity feature in Page Insights to European Economic Area (EEA) users. Your site’s placement entity results currently displayed in Page Insights will be removed within 30 days of deactivation.
