Google announced the release of version 16 of the Google Ads API.
To take advantage of some of its features, you’ll need to update your libraries and client code. Check out the updated client libraries and code samples, which will be released next week.
Why we care The updated version of Google Ads offers a number of new tools and capabilities to help you better monitor campaign performance, so you can make data-driven decisions to improve optimization efficiency.
New features. While there are no major changes, there are several new features available through the updated Google Ads system:
Recommendations based on specified settings, such as recommendation type or ad channel type, which can be useful when creating a campaign. Statistics about why an ad group or ad group ad is or isn’t serving. The ability to apply changes made to the original campaign to the experimental campaign while the experiment is running. This saves time from manually applying changes to the experimental campaign. Updated the operation types for Customer Lifecycle Goals and Campaign Lifecycle Goals to be consistent with other operation types. Added support for tracking the progress of the Local Services business registration verification process.
