Google Analytics 4 bug causes data gaps in reports

Google Analytics 4 is reportedly missing data from the User Acquisition and Traffic Acquisition reports due to a bug.

Users are reporting that data prior to September 6 is no longer available, despite having been in effect for at least two years prior, as demonstrated in the screenshot below:

In response, 15 other people confirmed that they were experiencing the same issue:

Why we care If you have this problem, please be assured that the error has been submitted to Google at Issue tracking. Also, your data is not lost; you can still report on traffic in the crawl reports or standard reports with a different dimension, such as source/medium.

What Google says. Google did not immediately respond to Search Engine Land’s request for comment.
