It’s been almost 12 weeks since the last confirmed Google search ranking algorithm was released. This was the November 2023 review update. It was previously the November 2023 core update. Since then, we’ve had many unconfirmed updates (or ranking errors) from Google, but none have been confirmed .
We know that Google is working on more ranking updates, some to deal with search spam issues like parasitic SEO, some you may or may not want. But we’re still waiting, and some of the hidden gems Google shows in search results can be considered mud rocks.
Lily Ray, who has been vocal about Google’s search quality issues for the past few months, posted that she’s looking forward to a new update in 2024. She hopes it will fix some of those issues. To which Danny Sullivan, the Google search link, responded with this GIF, that “someone’s cooking up a storm tonight.”
