Google Ads has released an updated user interface to a small number of accounts.

While affected accounts will experience a different design, structure, and layout, it’s important to note that there have been no changes to the functionality of any tools or features.

This specific user interface change, currently in beta for manager accounts, was designed to improve workflow organization and streamline accessibility, while maintaining the availability of the same set of tools.

Why we care If you can’t find your reports when you sign in to Google Ads, it’s because they’ve been moved to the “Statistics & Reports” section. All your performance reports can now be found there.

first discovered The Google Ads user interface update was first spotted by head of the digital advertising team, Greg Kohler, who shared a preview of the platform’s new design at X:

Speaking to Search Engine Land, Kohler admitted that he’s not keen on the new interface:

“They’ve moved around and it’s been confusing trying to figure out where to find things — for example, I’d instinctively look at Keywords to see search terms.” “I’m not a fan, but I think it’s mainly because it’s a change. I’m sure I’ll get used to it eventually, but it’s a pain for now.”

why now The new design is part of the same user interface update that started rolling out in June. Google said it has continued to work on the new design to make the platform easier to navigate.

What Google says. A Google spokesperson said:

“User research indicates that advertisers use both the Insights page and multiple reporting pages when trying to understand campaign performance.” “By bringing these pages together in one consolidated section of the navigation, Google’s goal is to make it easier for you to get the performance data you need to optimize your ads.”
