Google has released a new update for its Chrome browser that incorporates sophisticated AI and machine learning to make browsing smoother and safer.

Google Chrome’s latest update, version M121, includes new experimental AI features to personalize and streamline web browsing.
These new features, which are installed in Chrome on Mac and PC in the US, can be accessed by signing in to Chrome by going to Configurationand navigating to Experimental AI page
Google says this is initial public testing of the AI features, so they’ll be disabled for business and school accounts during this early stage.
Smart tab management
One of the key new features of the update is the Tab Organizer tool. This is intended to reduce the need to manually group related browser tabs.
You can right-click a tab and choose “Organize Similar Tabs” or click the drop-down arrow next to the tabs.
Chrome will then automatically detect tabs with related content and suggest creating tab groups for them. It even suggests names and emojis for these groups to make it easier to find them later.
Custom browser themes with AI
The new version of Chrome allows you to create custom themes. This builds on Google’s previous introduction of AI-generated wallpapers for Android and Pixel devices.
You can customize Chrome by choosing the theme, mood, visual style, and color palette options. The AI will then generate a unique theme to match those selections.
For example, someone interested in the northern lights who wants a relaxing, moving theme might enter “northern lights,” “lively,” and “serene.”
Google has pre-made themes in the Chrome gallery to generate ideas so you can understand the possibilities before designing your unique look.
Improved writing support
Looking ahead, Google is preparing to release another AI-based feature to help users type better.
In the next update, Chrome will include a “Help me type” option that can be activated by right-clicking on any field or text box on a website. When selected, it will give suggestions to improve what you’re trying to write, whether it’s a restaurant review, a confirmation of attendance, or a formal message such as a rental enquiry. AI will provide writing assistance to improve text quality.
