Microsoft Advertising is making changes to streamline the setup and management of hotel rate ads and property promotion ads.

From February 6, the platform will stop creating sub-accounts and managing offers in the Hotel Center. From now on, advertisers will exclusively manage hosting solutions through hosting campaigns.

Despite these changes, advertisers can continue to use Hotel Center for feed management tasks, such as uploading and editing property feeds or verifying transaction messages.

Recommendations For a seamless transition before February 6, Microsoft recommends that resellers follow these steps:

Recreate your existing Hotel Center sub-accounts as hosting campaigns. Update your URL tracking at the account/campaign level as needed. Let your Hotel Center sub-accounts run for another week or two while your hosting campaign traffic increases. You can also try slightly increasing your hosting campaign bids to increase volume. After raising new campaigns, reduce Hotel Center’s budget to $0 and delete subaccounts.

What are Hotel Price Ads? Hotel price ads allow advertisers to display their hotels on Bing.com on different devices. Travelers will receive these ads when they are actively searching to book a hotel, improving advertisers’ visibility.

What are property promotion ads? Property Promotion Ads are display ads, located at the top of the Bing Maps hotel grid, triggered by searches for locations or services. Aimed at inspiring early-stage travelers, these ads give advertisers the opportunity to influence decision-making.

Cross-platform parity: Accommodation campaigns can streamline the management of hotel price ads and property promotion ads on both platforms. The improved campaign architecture aligns its model and functionality with Google Ads hotel campaigns.

New ad distribution options: You can improve your reach to a wider audience of travelers by expanding to Microsoft Audience Ads and other syndicated search partners. This expansion can increase engagement with your offers as well as more bookings.

New orientation opportunities: Hosting campaigns can help increase and extend the reach of online sales by using existing active remarketing lists from your Microsoft Advertising search campaigns.
