Danny Sullivan, the Google Search Link, said that Google Search does not use Google Analytics data for ranking, even when that GA data is connected to Google Search Console.
He said this X when Adam J. Humphreys asked, “Is GA data when connected to GSC used to evaluate Google query behavior?”
Danny Sullivan replied: “As a qualifying signal? No.”
Here are those posts:
As a ranking signal? No.

To be clear, Google said this in 2022. Google has said for years and years that it doesn’t use behavioral factors to rank, outside of any of the page experience system metrics. This has been Google’s overwhelmingly consistent message for over a decade, as recently as 2021, 2020 but also 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020. Google said bounce rates are not good signs, In 2008 Google said that it is a noisy signal and also in 2008 it said that click data is not used for rankings. This is a myth that Google said, but then there are people from Google who are talking bad and causing more confusion.
But as Googlers delete tweets, some of those messages now disappear, making SEOs even more suspicious of the original replies.
I’m sure many doubt it, especially with all the latest DOJ documents released.
Discussion in the forum a X.
