Google’s John Mueller had another one-liner – this one was published Twitter and says, “Programmatic SEO is often a fancy banner for spam.”

The context is that Lily Ray noticed that “dozens of sites” are using “programmatic SEO” by “scraping and reusing data from other sites to create a large number of hyper-specific landing pages about songs, maps, schools, pets” , he wrote. Yes, we all see that these things often rank well in Google.

Well, Google’s John Mueller called it spam.

Why does John call this spam? Well, coding is basically used to generate automated content from various sources to create pages automatically. Is this spam? Well, I think Google defines it as spam and so do many of you.

Unfortunately, these things, when done right, rank well in Google Search.
