Google collects and delivers problematic and low-quality search results

Google Robot Feedback

Over the past few months or so, there have been many complaints from both the SEO community and the general Internet community about the quality of Google search results. The SEO community has been very vocal on social media and on this blog about the problems they see with Google search quality.

A year ago, Danny Sullivan, the Google search link, responded to some criticism from outside the SEO industry. He now spends time responding to critics of the SEO industry.

Sullivan also shared a screenshot of how he collects, documents and sends this feedback to the Google Search team. He posted an example at X and wrote: “Yes, I’ve already passed it on to the search team. Here’s a look at it. And it’s being looked at.”

There are over a hundred comments here and over 1,200 here.

It seems that many of the complaints started after the September 2023 useful content update was just rolled out. But it seemed to have increased a lot in the last few weeks.

So yes, Google is documenting some of the complaints.

Discussion in the forum a X.
