There has been some controversy over the name “parasite SEO” in the industry and Google doesn’t like the term either. So they said they will be renaming Parasite SEO to a new term in the near future.
Danny Sullivan, the Google search link, wrote X“We don’t use this term internally. I hope to see us assign a term to this type of activity in the near future, along with more guidance.”
Google previously told us that it does not use the term SEO parasite internally, but Google added that it has been taking steps to address these issues.
Danny Sullivan added: “We have some guidance on this type of activity on the next page, where the key definition implies that it is from a third party and “largely independent of the purpose of the main site or produced without close supervision or participation of the main site”.
