Google Ads is testing a conversion account-level diagnostics tab in alpha.

A spokesperson confirmed to Search Engine Land that the feature will launch next year and that more details are expected to be released soon.

Why we care This new feature provides more detailed information about your current measurement settings, allowing you to assess what’s working and what’s not, and make the necessary changes to improve the performance of your ads.

How it works. The Diagnostics tab provides weekly updated data, providing rich insights that allow you to:

Monitor your current Google Ads account settings. Adopt solutions to preserve privacy (eg Labeling throughout the site i Mode of consent). Troubleshoot your campaign measurement.

What are conversions? In Google Ads, a conversion occurs when a user takes a specific action after clicking or viewing an ad on the Display Network. This action can be making a purchase, installing a mobile app, or signing up for an email list. Conversion tracking provides important information about what users do after interacting with an ad.

What is the account level? In Google Ads, the account level is the basic layer of PPC management, dealing with billing, user permissions, and basic settings for all campaigns. Account-level changes, such as tracking templates, ad extensions, and negative keywords, are automatically applied globally to the relevant campaigns.
