Tesla’s long-awaited Cybertrucks are finally here, but the brand isn’t shying away from its rocky start.
At Thursday’s vehicle delivery event, the brand debuted a broken glass decal that referenced the awkward moment of the Cybertruck reveal event in 2019, when Tesla designer Franz von Holzhausen tried to demonstrate the strength of his unbreakable windows by throwing a metal ball at the car. The experiment failed and broke two windows.
The sticker, which retails for $55 and is already sold out, was specifically designed to fit the driver’s side window of the truck’s uniquely shaped rear seat, according to CNN.

At Thursday night’s delivery event, von Holzhausen gave the demo another shot with a different ball and a softer launch. This time, the window didn’t break.

The Cybertruck has experienced several challenges and production delays since it was announced in 2019, according to Business Insider.
The truck starts around $61,000 for two wheels and goes up to more than $100,000 for four wheels, called the Cyberbeast, according to CNN.

More than a million people are on the waiting list for the vehicle and some may not have one until 2025, for With cable.
Reddit founder and entrepreneur Alexis Ohanian was one of the first to receive the much-anticipated truck at Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s delivery event.
