Primary Arms hires VP of e-commerce and inbound marketing

Primary Arms hired Kody Staples as vice president of e-commerce and inbound marketing. In this position, Staples will oversee the company’s digital sales channels and e-commerce marketplaces, with responsibilities for the editorial and content teams, as well as business analytics, email marketing and engine optimization search

Staples brings over 12 years of experience in e-commerce and digital marketing. He began his career at Overstock.com as a Retention Marketing and CRM Manager, creating strategic and operational initiatives. Moving to Kohl’s, Staples became senior director of corporate strategy and business transformation, developing digital growth strategies and overseeing marketing and customer analytics positions.

Most recently, Staples was Senior Director of Marketing and E-Commerce Strategy at Truck Hero. There, he launched multiple direct-to-consumer digital properties and drove consistent year-over-year sales growth across more than 20 e-commerce sites. He also designed an enterprise digital architecture that spanned the company’s e-commerce platform, CMS, CRM, marketing platforms, PIM and other supporting cloud software.
