For anyone looking to start or expand a small business, Colorado Mountain College offers two free seminars to learn the basics.
CMC is offering a free seminar called Smart Planning for a Start-up from 6 to 7:30 pm on Thursday, September 15 at 775 Yampa Ave. by Craig
The first step to starting a business is to have the idea and the plan to make it a reality, written on paper. In this session, participants will learn the basic components, process, forecasting, and writing strategy for developing a professional business plan.
The next free seminar in the business series is Fundamentals of Digital Marketing, which will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. on September 28 in the Craig Yampa Building.
This session is offered free of charge thanks to a USDA Rural Business Development grant. In the course, attendees will learn how to build brand awareness and drive traffic to a business through a well-built website, search engine optimization, and email and social media marketing.
Kayleen Cohen, founder of Mtn. Dog Media will lead the Digital Basic Course.
