Google seems to have completely removed the number of results found, the number of results, from the Google Search results page. It was removed from Google’s generative search experience last June, and Google has been trying to remove it for years, but it doesn’t seem like it’s completely gone.<\/p>\n

Update; it looks like it’s still on the page, but you have to click on “tools” to reveal the number.<\/p>\n

Here’s what I see for any query: number of results missing, results count:<\/p>\n

This also seems to be for any real query, not just a site order.<\/p>\n

When I search for site:mydomain.com, it no longer shows the number of indexed pages. Has anyone else noticed this? Yes, the number seems to have disappeared. Removed site page count – result? Please tell me you haven’t removed the page count. Oh man… Not another one they’re taking from us!<\/p>\n

Some use it for a site order to see how many pages Google has indexed from a site, which Google says is not a good estimate. Some use it to say how important and competitive an issue is. Some use it to make a good headline about a topic. And some like to see how many results Google can show for a specific query.<\/p>\n
