CANTON \u2212 Voices for voices<\/a> will hold a charity event on October 12 with guest speakers and a rock concert to support mental health and awareness of inclusion.<\/p>\n The second annual event is at 7pm at the Cultural Center for the Arts, 1101 Market Ave. N in Canton.<\/p>\n The “A Brand New Day” event will help support the agency’s mission to provide educational materials, workshops and seminars designed to help people with mental health and advance their careers, while helping them manage workplace problems. <\/p>\n The event includes educational presentations by Jessica Hoefler<\/a>founder and executive director of The flutist’s key<\/a>a nonprofit charity that gives inclusive books to children with disabilities “that represent their unique selves in a positive light,” the agency’s website says.<\/p>\n Presentations will also be made by Brian Laughlin, lieutenant of the Twinsburg Fire Commission<\/a> and James Warnken, a visually impaired\/legally blind online accessibility specialist with expertise in search engine optimization and data analysis.<\/p>\n The event is open to the public, i tickets<\/a> are $50 and can be purchased online through Eventbrite by searching \u201cA Brand New Day\u201d ia https:\/\/www.eventbrite.com\/d\/oh–canton\/a-brand-new-day\/<\/a>. All ticket proceeds are fully tax deductible, a Voices for Voices press release said.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The event, which raises awareness about mental health and inclusion, will also include a RockAbility concert and American Sign Language interpretation by Kent State University<\/a> students<\/p>\n RockAbility welcomes people with developmental disabilities into existing music projects based on interpretations of different genres.
